“Do antiaging
creams work?”
Dear Dr. Lynne
Kavulich,
I have heard that
a lot of miracle creams and supplements you see on
television don’t actually work like they are supposed to.
Some of my friends have gotten stuff that didn’t work at
all. I am thinking about using an antiaging cream to help
cut down on wrinkles, but want to know before I spend a lot
of money - do antiaging creams work?
Beth - Seattle WA.
Dear Beth,
Yes, if you buy a
good antiaging cream with quality ingredients and use it
regularly, you will see positive results like my anti-aging
clients. Be sure to buy a cream with the antioxidant
vitamins C, E and colostrum or hyaluronic acid. These help
combat everyday skin damage.
In order for you
to see a difference in your skin, however, you must use
these creams regularly. Keep in mind, though, these creams
aren’t miracle creams. You can’t expect results overnight,
or even in a couple of days. While these creams won’t
restore the complexion you had in your teens, you skin will
look firmer and less wrinkled. You can also boost your
anti-aging cream’s effectiveness by drinking lots of water,
exercising and eating a diet high in anti oxidant food.
Sincerely,
Dr. Lynne Kavulich
